i'm guessing they've been harvesting ideas for quite a while, as this isn't a new gripe from pvp players.

Get back to me when faction is eliminated entirely in favor of all unlocks and choices being open to PvP players, along with removal of PvE barriers such as gold.

Until then, faction has never been and will never be an appealing system to me. It is simply a grind system.

No.

In one month, people will start saying that this still isn't there. 1 week after people start bitching Gaile gray will say that she will ask the dev team about it, while she's in Kamadan. 1 Month later there will be a dev update posted which outlines the general plan. .5 month later, it's implemented, but in a horrible way. There are some very big flaws in the plan, and it's easy to abuse. So, ANet has to disable to feature for 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, they finally implement the new system, but the effects aren't that great. People will bitch for a month that the rewards aren't good enough. AP posts in this thread, bumping it up again, saying that changes will be made. 2 weeks later, some changes are made. However, the system itself still has a few flaws, and the rewards aren't very awesome at all.

Be interesting to see where this goes. I'd guess it will involve reward points. Anything which bridges faction to gold will probably RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO with the economy too much. Not that I'd mind, but you'd have all the pve folks going emo in riverside... moreso.

imho balt faction its pvp reward and its must be for pvp players
not the alt way to farm
think it must be trade for reward points something like 1point~5-10k
for normal pvp players its not rly problem this way unlock 1 item every day

and also nice idea about alcohol and sweets =)

If balth faction was traded for reward points, the scale would have to be right to make it equivelent to the AT's. Anyway, I'm not sure if people use AT's more for just high rating boost or reward points, as if you tanked well enough one could get (for instance in hb) as much as +60-70 or so rating boost in an AT.
